Kenduri Durian

I had to attend a taklimat this morning at the main hall. Had a karipap and some tea during break before the session continued in the afternoon. I went out with ZiZi, NuNu & SallY for lunch at the Noodle Station in E-Gate. Pas tu, hujan punya la lebat. Hari ni lunch makan mee saja sebab ada sesi makan durian pas tu.

We had the 'kenduri' durian lepas hujan dah sidang sket. Mula2 SuzSuz kata nak pi pekena durian Balik Pulau, tapi memandangkan some of us need to be back kat pejabat earlier, tu yg dok singgah kat Sg. Dua je (depan Lip Sin). Duk la the 6 of us kat tepi jalan tu gara2 durian punya pasal. The fruits were lovely -- M5 kata tokeh tu. Hahahahaha, makan tak ingat dunia. Sedap wooooooo ... SuzSuz belanja... ngeh ngeh ngeh ... sempat gak dia gi senamrobik before mengadap durian2 tu. Lain kali kena gi lagi.

I had a jolly time this afternoon. Durian punya pasal, semuanya jadik!

Well, may the 13th of July bring out the best in me :)

Conference 1 - 2 June 2010

I've been very busy for the past couple of months. Went back to Perth earlier this year, coordinated the PSU programme and worked in a committee for an international conference. Yes, I was very exhausted, but hey ... I had a great time as well ... Kudos to all those people that I've worked with - what a great team!

Of Copy-Cats & Food Poisoning

I had food poisoning last week and I spent the weekend in bed. It was so bad that I thought I might have to sleep in the toilet! That is minus the vomitings and bloating ok. Other than that, I was just as good as goreng pisang semalam (read: b-a-s-i) :P

After taking loads of medicines, I am feeling much better now. What was the cause to my food poisoning? It was a bowl of meehoon beef soup. I had it at the Juru R&R, the one along the hi-way to KL (yes, the immediate R&R just after you leave Penang). I was so hungry that evening, I even requested for extra beef! It cost RM11.00 for 2 mangkuks of meehoon soup. Very pricey for a gerai punya food kan. And to get food poisoning after that ... is just not good ehh ...

So, the next time you stop at the Juru R&R, be selective of the food that you want to buy. After that incident, I'd strongly encourage you to take your break at the next R&R stop. That'd be at Gunung Semanggol I think. As for me, I shall refrain myself from taking meehoon soup for a long, long, long time. Phobia dibuatnya.

Anyway, I turned off my mobile when I was sick that weekend. And boy was I so glad I did that. You know, there are some people who just couldn't leave you alone, who just need to call you every day. Geeeezzzz ... get a life! I don't mind if it's really important/urgent, but other than that pls. respect my private time. My life does not revolve around you. I cannot and will not entertain you at any time you wish. My sincere advice is: grow up my friend and please be your own self. Imitating others (character-wise, personality, style or preferences) is just so ... not cool. Feel good meh if you become a copy-cat? ish ish ish ...

Kaput

Rome is not built in one day ... yeah rite. I hope, really hope, that "Rome" of yours will not be finished at all. I know it is bad to wish things like that for a "friend", but this time around you just need an "eye opener" to see why things have always gone kaput for you! Tak pe ... satu hari nanti, kau tau lah apa yang aku rasa. Tuhan tu Maha Adil lagi Saksama.

Just When I Thought I am All Over It

I saw it when I was at the tasik yesterday evening, just by instinct I turned around. And as much as I dreaded it, I saw the mother of all signs this morning -- right in front of me. I tried my very best to avoid it. I even put up a front. Tapi sampai bila? Is this the road of no return?
