Merapu ... rapu ...

Hah ... ikan sembilang dah pon selamat masuk lam perut. Hehehehe, udah puweh org Perak kata, makan gulai lemak cabai burung ikan sembilang. Hari ni ada sesi mengadap belah pagi, dan akan disambung semula pada minggu depan. Adusss ... fenings, keje mesti maju ke depan. My weekend was not bad. Ada la beberapa keje tertangguh yang dapat dilangsaikan. Sempat masak dan sempat cuci baju. Che' Matt dan si Cokelat pon tak tukar baju. Maklumlah ... sejuk, kesian kat dorang. Cuma aku agak malas nak buat grocery shopping kat Coles. Tu tak apa, masih ada lagi makanan untuk dimakan. The guys in the flat, seperti biasa ... menghilangkan diri most of times, which is good sebab suasana yang sunyi agak mendamaikan untuk buat kerja. Cuma malam Sabtu tu aje, si Yousef telah bergendang dan berserunai dengan lagu Hindustan bersama sorang kawan dia. Lantak ko le, janji ko tak kacau aku. Tapinya... si Kevin telah menyuruh dia agak diam sedikit, hehehehe. Biasala .. flat rep aku tu skema sket. Dia kata dia nak study. Kevin ni aku rasa masih tak puas hati sebab tak dapat duduk kat flat yg dia mintak earlier. Suka bebeno dia bertanya pasal Erica and George James (tu dari Yousef sbb dia dulu dok kat situ). Kesian gak, tapi kan ... tempat baru ni pon tak le seteruk yang aku sangka. Ok la ... tu pada standard aku la, sebab I've been to other not-so-good places. Dan aku pon dah biasa dengan bilik aku. Tiap-tiap hari aku tgk pokok maple yang kaler nya semakin cekelat, pokok fir yg beso seberang jalan dan satu batang poko pine yg dari jauh macam dah senget tiup di angin. Musim luruh dah mula tunjuk belang semalam - a hi of 20 and lo of 6. Maknanya, baju panas sudah digunakan semalam. Sejuk. Tapinya, ramalan cuaca kata pas 2 ari ni, cuaca akan jadi ok sket. Ntah lah ... kali ni cuaca agak extreme sket. Dan aku rasa winter is going to be lagi sejuk dari yang sebelum ini.

Called Fatso and Dad too during the weekend. Yaang sonoknya, tak de sape2 pon kacau kalau aku guna tipon kat flat sebab mamat2 tu sume tak pakai tipon. Aku sorang la yang meng-conquer the phone. Hahahaha ... puas hati aku bersembang dgn sape2 yang aku nak. Hehehehe, my dad might be going to Darwin or Brisbane soon. Tapi dia kata lom confirm lagi. And I had good news from Linda jugak. She said dah confirm she's going to Murdoch end of July nanti. The whole family akan ikut gak. Hehehehe ... that's really great. Akan ada sesi minom kopi dgn dia nanti. I promised her that before I left the other day. So seronok. A good friend of mine is joining me Down-under.

Ikan Keli Ikan Sembilang

Ahhhh ... dah kenyang dah. Just had my lunch - noodle and pepper beef, and iced coffee. Total - AUD6.70. Kalau la ari-ari mcm ni bleh bengkok jawabnya. Rasanya I should start cooking more next week so that boleh tapau bila gi uni. Ni asyik-asyik nak kuar duit, kering dibuatnya. Anyway, I got my books from Hong Kong today, buku K.S. Maniam and John Machado's. Tak sabar nak baca though I still have other things to do.

I went out with K. Yuss and family petang semalam. Met anak K. Yuss - si Amira. A young gal who has just finished school. Abg Ramli masih maintain cam dulu and he was driving a new car. Cantik and comfy gak - Mitsubishi Magna - kaler blue. Ingatkan ikut plan K. Yuss nak gi Mecca Meats nak beli lauk, last-last sampai sana kedai tu dah tutup. Abg. Ramli kata, blom sampai time dah tutup. Hehehehe ... Okeh, Mecca Meats tak de, Abg. Ramli took us to Garden City kat Booragoon. Dah lama aku tak gi sana. I like gak Garden City, ada Myers, ada David Jones, ada banyak lagi kedai2 lain. Tak shopping, just window shopping je. I bought some things kat kedai Reject Shop tu, kedai baru, tu ari tak de pon. And as usual gi Price Line. Suka tempat tu, things are quite reasonable.

On the way out, singgah kat Woolsworth. Survey the aisles ngan K. Yuss, last-last both of us ternampak la satu ikan ni. K. Yuss dgn gembiranya kata - eh..ikan keli. Aku pon terkejut gak tgk ikan tu. Kalau org Perak kata, tu ikan sembilang. Tapi orang belah2 Kedah panggil tu ikan keli. Kalau org belah2 the OZ land ni panggil ikan Cobbler. Hehehehehe... Ikan tu dah siap siang, headless. Seekor dalam AUD4.00. Makanya aku beli sekor, K. Yuss ambik 2 ekor. K. Yuss tanya nak masak apa, jeng jeng jeng ... aku kata nak masak gulai lemak cili api - tungguuuu ... itu menu ujung minggu ni. K. Yuss plak dah angan-angan cakap sedap kalau masak gulai rempah. Terus aku teringat kat kedai mamak kat Taman Pekaka yg aku suka gi ngan mak bakap aku kalau we all singgah di Parit Buntar. Dorang mesti ada gulai rempah ikan sembilang tu. Ikan keli mana de orang masak kari - tak masuk. Tapi deme kata ikan keli. Even kat Khaleel pon ada gak delicacy tu. Bila nak balik tu, si Yasmin lak kata lapar nak makan McD. Last-last K. Yuss cakap, gi Charcoal Chicken beli ayam. Dan aku pob balon la jugak tapau one whole spicy chicken and dinner set for makan malam. Sampai flat, ayam tu aku kerat masuk 4 different containers - teruuusss dok lam freezer. Tu akan jadi makan malam for the next few nites - depending on what I'm going to do with them. After dinner, I tried reading, but only managed to pass the first page. Pas tu terus caput. Letih maaa ...

Pagi tadi bangun, as usual gi melawat bilik kecil. Kuar-kuar je terkejut beruk tgk si Yousef kat bilik gosok gigi tu ... member in towel ... tengah posing depan cermin kut. Hahahahahaha ... terkejut dia tgk aku ... hahahahahaha ... caught him admiring his face ... LOL ... hehehe, mamat tu malu kut, sbb dia cepat2 blah. Aku no prob nyer ... ko nak posing ke, ko nak gosok gigi ke, ikut suka ko la. Jangan naked udah la ... ya aa auuuu ... haru haru ...

Misteri cerek ilang di ofis ni pon telah diselesaikan. Mata-mata gelap dah anto report, so tak payah panggil NCIS. Magnosh is making the ofis better now - I mean cleaner kitchen and bunga plastik Eileen dah duduk sana. Rasa-rasanya Bill pon suka kat Magnosh, sebab Magnosh selalu bawak goodies for us and buat air teh untuk mamat tu. Hahahaha ... okeh jugak la sbb ofis ni pon dah lama sunyi. Haaa... tu Bill dah cakap ... "Beauuutiful ... TQ". Si Magnosh telah pon berjaya menawan hati orang-orang di sini. Aku masih lagi berhati2 - sbb mak ngan bapak aku kata jgn biasa sgt makan budi orang. Sekali sekala tak apa, tak baik kalau expect it all the time. Ari ni tadi sepatutnya K. Yuss dah ajak nak check out this one new Deli. Tapi ntah macam mana aku rasa macam nak terus buat keje la plak. Dah lama tak mood macam ni. Might as well I finish up some work that I've been meaning to. So, trip ke Deli telah ku kensel kan dgn K. Yuss.

Suka-suka

... one life in a time, I dunno where I went but we pass this way again, in another world in another place, i'd held you close i'd have known your face, in another world in anohter time you've been mine ... I really like this song. And who could have sung it any better than Ning. So soothing in this fine afternoon.

I have a meeting with Scroogie at 3.30, so just want to blog some things that happened to me this week. Nothing much though. Just the usual routine - home - uni - home - uni. Hehehehe ... I went to Welshpool to collect another load of my things. And stayed in most of the days - cracking my brain on how I should go about the materials that I have in my hands now. It's tough. And to feel that you are losing the grip doesn't help at all. Fening fening fening.

The blokes in my flat are doing great - I think. I've not seen Kevin for the past two days. Probably he's busy with his work in the Computer Lab or away having fun with some gals. Yash and Madam M (his kerek gf) just had another fight this afternoon before I left for uni. Met Yash half way to uni - kesian dia - he had a class at 1pm but I supposed he skipped the class due to that Madam M la. Walking across the field and looking a bit down. Haihhhh ... young lovebirds. Macam - macam dorang nih. Tgh elok3 makan Indomie, pas tu bergaduh. Pelikss. I also had a long chat with Yousef - a geologist in the making - a few nights ago. About his country, about Malaysia, about politics and government, about life, about English teachers and nurses, about marriage, his experiences in UK, about English, about Islam, about al Jazeera, and many more. Kadang-kadang seronok dengar pendapat outsiders about our country. And that reveals a lot about one's personality too. What can I say ... they are still young, so they are bound to have with them the ideals of life. Nak je aku cakap, not all of them my friends are as good as you think they are. Been there ... once upon a time, not so long ago. Tapi tak nak la "spoil" dorang nye dreams kan. It's part of growing up.

And I have another new work station mate - Magnosh. And Linda is going to Murdoch. Will cerita more in the next blog ok, me gtg now. Have a good week-end!

Can I?

I am in uni now. Didn't come in for 2 days. Why? Because it was scorching hot for the past 2 days - 42.5 degrees! The hottest March so far in Perth. It is still hot now at 39 today, even in Msia we don't get this kind of weather. I don't quite like it staying in the room either, but thinking of the walk thru the field to uni makes me think twice. It's like being "smoked" - tu macam pisang salai tu.

Ni ada satu cerita - it happened yesterday. I eavesdropped (not intentionally, but they were "discussing" in front of my room ok). I ONLY heard bits and pieces of the conversation between Yousef and Kevin. Muahahahahaha ... I think they were gossiping about Yash's gf. You know, the kerek gal. And that gal sure is having attitude problem. She's a mess! She was hysteric in our flat yesterday scolding Yash. Poor boy ... he only tried to shhooooohhhhhed her. Yer la, awek datang serang-serang ni, sape yang nak explain banyak-banyak kan. Dah puas dia mengamuk in Hindi, dia balik bilik dia (exactly bawah bilik aku) histeria dalam Creole plak. Aku rasa maybe Yash nak break up kut, sebabnya nampak mcm si kerek gal tu je yang lelebih. And Yash being Yash, memang la friendly and approachable. And being one of the outstanding student figure at the residence probably menaikkan saham dia lagi kut. And the best part, the other two boys were discussing that, while at the same time relating to their experience - Yousef with his good old UK stories and Kevin with the gal who stared at her - or so I "heard". Hehehe ... interesting lot I'd say.

Tu cerita semalam yang tergendala sebab aku gi lunch ngan Super Lolly at the Noodle House. On the way there, terserempak ngan sorang officer dari Petronas. Mana aku tau dia org Petronas, tu sebab dia pakai kemeja Petronas. I'm sure of that. He was really staring at me - musti dia ingat - ini orang kampung aku kut. But alas, memandangkan ade sorang makcik OZ tgh direct dia kat depan International Office tu, makanya mintak maap la brader, next time la kut ye. Anyway, had lunch ngan Lolly since her next class was at 5.30pm. Pas tu duduk lepak kat depan library, lama la jugak. Saja je talking abt our personal life and "analysing" people passing by. After one semester away from her, I think she's becoming more mature. Lebih berjimat-cermat and knows how to take care of herself better. We talked abt many things gak, pasal Jane, pasal Garfield, pasal rumah sewa, my flatmates, shopping, warts ... hehehehe, she has more on her fingers and her toes now, sampai la ke cite si Sven, her Deutsch bf. Time does fly ...

Hari ni, workstation tak de orang. Aku sorang je. The weather is really nice today, so the walk to school was a good one. Meeting with Scroogie is arranged for next week. I'm really nervous about all this - time is running short. It gives me the shiver. Can I do it on time? Can I?

Orang Baru

Okeh, I am back. I survived the weekend without going online. Haihhh ... buhsan, but what to do. I'll have to get used to the current setting. That means, I have greater reasons to go to uni daily to get my dosage of the Net. New place, new routes, new people, jadinya kena la try to adapt. I am done sorting out the things in my room, for now as I still have more at the storage. Sakit belakang pon tak abih lagi, dah nak pikir bila nak angkut the next load. Itu la ... time macam ni, kalau ada bf kan best, tak la kena angkut barang teruk2 kan kan kan ... Nasib baik la tilam empuk. That's a consolation ye.

Anyway, lemme tell you a bit about my flatmates. There's 4 of us sharing the flat, should be 6 but neither the double room tenants have got a partner with them now. All my flatmates are boys. Ok, men. There's Yashveen from Mauritius and Kevin from Canada and Yousef from Oman. Yasheveen and Kevin are both undergrads while Yousef is doing his Masters in Geology. Since I am the lady of the flat, hehehehe, the gentlemen were kind to allow a toilet for me. They'll have to share among them. So, when you have all boys in the flat, the kitchen is not often in use, and there's so much space in the cabinet, fridge and freezer. Muahahahaha ... boleh lah aku bermaharajalela sikit kan. After staying with them for the past week, dorang ni bleh la. Kevin ni macam mamat skema sikit, but helpful. And lurus also. Si Yash pulak is friendly. He reminds me of Aboo. Tapi the gf is a bit kerek. And Yousef is still a mystery. He's always out. Maybe with the OZ gf. It's so interesting to see how well we can get along. I hope they are ok. Just want some place where I can do my work. Tu je.

I am Back

Wey, it's me blogging from the land down under once again. Safely arrived in perth last Monday evening, that is, after a long weekend "visiting" some folks and several whirlwind shoppings in 1-U and at Metro Prima (just for some toiletries and lenses). And yeah, had to pay some few hundreds for the excess baggage as well :P, cis cis cis. Dad paid ok, hehehehe.

This week has been a hectic one. Stayed at Metro for several days before moving in the Guild. Tak sangka I ended up there, maybe the place was meant to be for me kut, the last one available. I should consider myself lucky though. Kalau tak, merempat la jawabnya, and $$$$ pun byk la yg terbang. I can't go online from home now as there's no internet connection :P. I know it sounds so cikai but the place isn't all bad you know. You lose some, you gain some ok. Anyway, I got the double room - all things times 2. Memang tak sebest Erica, tapi it'll do. I don't have any complaints, as to this moment la.

Will blog more about the new peeps in the flat later. Now got to go "mengadap". Peace ...
