Malam Persada Kencana

I attended a dinner last Friday - Malam Persada Kencana. I was in emerald green that nite huahahahahahaha, bergaya bagai nak rak gitu, well ... tak le over ok, lol. Anyway, a dear colleague drove us to the Gurney Resort Hotel that night. It was raining heavily and the traffic jam was just crazy - via Greenlane, as well as Jelutong. When we finally arrived at the ballroom, the tables were filled up very quickly. Luckily, we managed to secure one, that is with colleagues from the same school (except for George) ... Hehehehe, sorry yek George ;).

I think the dinner went well - by that I mean, the performances and cultural dances were good. We had zapin, gamelan and a contemporary one too. It was indeed a very colourful night, especially for the recipients of the various awards. I liked the ambience, it's been a long time since I last attended a formal dinner in the Malaysian setting. And I also enjoyed the company of my colleagues. They were just a great bunch of people. However, the food was not impressive and the service could've been better.

That night too, I think I was being rather cold towards someone at the table. I didn't mean/want to be rude to him. I just can't afford another wave of gossips going around, can I?

Would It Be The Same?

I had lunch at Subway this afternoon with my comrades. We later had coffee and cinnamon rolls at Starbucks @ E-Gate. Prior to that, I told them what really happened.

Would it ever be the same again?

I don't know.

Macam-macam Ragam

I wanted to put up a post last 28th, but I was so so not in the mood. I couldn't really sum up what happened that day for I had a fair share of bad news and good news. The day was supposedly to start in a good way as it was my friend's birthday. Nad and I bought something special for her (we hope so hahahahaha). But then, one stupid car run into my car -- and suffice to say, I really lost my temper that day. And the driver was also trying to be funny to me, well ... nak gelak pon ada gak. Yang penting, I am not hurt.

Anyway, that noon, I received the much awaited news. It really made my day... despite the unfortunate incident in the morning. Alhamdullillah. But I don't know why, I was really not in the mood to share the good news. I said so because someone pointed out to me that my responses to his "discourse" were rather sarcastic. Hehehehe ... it must have been obvious - he said it was apparent in my body language. And then he went on elaborating things pertaining to body language. *sigh*

But I think I was feeling much better that night. Went to Gurney (btw guess what - I met the birthday gal with Mr. SV at Living Quarters, hahahahaha - that was surely a big surprise to all of us) and had dinner at McD. On the way back, stopped by at Khaleel for a teh tarik session. Hehehehe. By the time sampai rumah, dah dekat midnite, pas tu terus zzzzzzzzzz.
