Lost & Found

This was my horoscope for yesterday (from Yahoo!) -
Overview:
Easy come, easy go. If this is meant to be yours, it'll find its way back to you. In the meantime, why not unclench that jaw and loosen those fists? It's time to appreciate what you do have right now.
Yeah, right! I lost my spoon last night. And I found it in Teapot's cabinet. Cuba bayangkan, sudu pun nak kebas org punya, apa punya orang ni entahlah, aku pun tak tau. So, out of rage, I did something even worst (tu tindak balas reflex tu). Apa dia aku dah buat? Hahahahahahaha, shhhhhhhh, *rahsia* mana bleh cakap ;) , cukup la kalau aku cakap sesuatu yg keji hahahahahahahaha.
Tak pe, aku bleh sabar lagi. Hari ni hari ko. Nanti laaaa ...

Sunshine in Mayfair

Long long time ago, there was a gal who managed to buy Mayfair and Parklane. And she became so rich, only later to be called the champion - and twice too, mind you! Hehehehehe, nah, that can happen if I am super filthy rich, dream on mate. On the Monopoly board game -- yeah, that I did. And me being me, was bragging about my 2 winnings and thus dubbed the others into titles like, Lolly - the most bankcrupt, Dain - the 2nd most bankcrupt and Jane - the loser. So bad of me huh -- berlagak aje :P. Anyway, after winning the game twice in 2 consecutive nights, Dain made his pile 2 nights ago. And did you know how they celebrate the occasion? With much delight and bullying too. Hahahahahaha, they were teasing me like mad and Dain even recorded that. So I became "the gal who couldn't accept lost". That's right - I LOST. LOL, but I had a lot of good time with Evil No. 1@ The Initiator (ie. to my losing), Evil No. 2@ The Culprit and King Evil --> the most evil of all :P:P:P:P:P and me??? Of course, sure enough they were just too happy to label me THE LOSER, huhuhuhuhu. But I really had a lot of fun.
And hey, we had our first flat dinner too. Everybody was present but the dinner was a quiet one. Dain, Lolly and myself in the non-Cantonese speaking group, while Owan, Leo and Janet belong to the Cantonese speaking group. Leo was exceptionally quiet, concentrating on the food maybe. Dain was busy with his camera and so was Leo -- initially. Lolly and Owan were - as usual - outdoing each other at the IQ questions that Jane posed. And I had to say that Owan really really need to watch his language. Ironically, you should try listening to how he speaks to Jane, so soft, so sweet, so nice, so polite, so careful. Hahahahahahaha, maybe he likes Jane, jangan marah ye Jane. And me, was just enjoying the meal, and trying to keep Lolly from losing much temper (from under the table). Jane and I prepared the spaghetti and the meehoon. Dain prepared a dish from Mauritius - Rougaille or Sauce Creole - with meat and a lot of tomatoes. It was really nice, even to be taken with pasta or rice. And Super Lolly prepared her famous potato salad - that was also yummy. And we also had some rockmelons. That was also the night that I became the Loser :P:P, must be the food LOL
Last week was also a week of socialising and formal outings. The PM of Malaysia was in town and my friends and I were among the invited students to attend both ceremonies. I went with Woon, K. Yuss and Aisyah. 2 pairs of baju kurung were used for both events, and my mom said I was on TV. Hahahahahaha, very clearly seen on the news that even Uncle Rada and Uncle Bala called my dad to let him know. Several photo shoots were also taken during the session in Hyatt Regency and at the Prime Ministerial Library. Budak2 UWA, aisey -- sibuk je bergambar sekali, hehehehe. Tak pe la kan, sekali sekala. I felt so proud to have sung Negaraku in an OZ lecture theatre. Lain rasanya, tak tau nak describe macamana. I suppose, when you are far away from your country, you tend to appreaciate it more. I got to shake hand with the CM of Melaka too, and even congratulated him on the development in Melaka. Man, was he very happy to hear that ;) Jenuh melaram dgn baju kurung in the city, lepas tu, K. Yuss and I gi jejalan in the campus as they were having Orientation Week punya exhibition for the new students. Ada byk booth jugak of all the clubs and societies available on campus. I missed 2 other get-together events organised by the uni sbb letih, hehehehe. Apa lagi ye ... haaaaa, the best one was when Chris called to tell me the good news. The committee had reviewed my work and had agreed for me to proceed with no changes to be done. He congratulated me and was pleased with that too. I was relieved and trust me, it was the news that I have been waiting for the past couple of weeks. Alhamdullillah, semoga Tuhan permudahkan perjalanan ku di sini. Amin.

Meet the New Freezer

He finally arrived yesterday morning.
He is skinny with pimples on his face.
But definitely taller than Teapot (which is of course - - a lot lot better).
He is a very very nervous person.
He even swallows his words when he speaks to the ladies of the flat, muahahahahaha.

He is from HK Poly Uni.
He will be here for a semester only as an exchange student.
He studies Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics.
He told me (much to my surprise, but which is good) about his uni back in HK.

He had noodles the first night in Australia (from the Residence Survival Kit, I think).
He told me he couldn't open the sliding door to our flat.
He said he will need a lot of time to digest what the OZs are talking abt on TV - no subtitles maahhhh.
He listens to "girly" kind of music -- you know, those Spice Gals kinda thing ;)

He stood in front of the freezer when he first introduced himself.
So he becomes Freezer my new flatmate, hehehehe.
Welcome to EUH Freezer ... well, it's LEO actually

Teapot & Dain

Hi y'all. Today I am in a better mood as compared to yesterday. I thought I had a great day yesterday as Chris gave me a couple of days off the work after completing the latest draft, but alas that small brat in the flat messed it up! Yeah, that Hong Kie boy @ TEAPOT. Shirlyn called him Teapot, in fact she even sang an old children's song about Teapot. Hehehehehe, so the name stuck. Lol, I miss that gal. Lolly, Shirlyn and I did share a lot of things together inspite of the short period we've been together.
Huh, thaaaaatttttt Teapot was so pissed off and moody yesterday as he couldn't go online in MSN and Yahoo. As Lolly couldn't go online using MSN, he was a bit ok, but he became more pissed off when I informed him that I could. Well, yes - I could go online when I was in campus. And I did go online in YM when I was back from campus. I might not be able to do that in MSN, but hey I was not that unfortunate all the time, duhhhh! The part that made me felt like strangling him was when he asked me to prove it to him! Can you imagine that - there I was in the kitchen preparing my sandwich for dinner, he wanted me to prove it to him! Well well well my dear TEAPOT, fuck off! Just 20, with that old lady's sunglasses, and short body (like bonsai) - you want me to prove it to you???? What a cow he is.
But the coming of another new flatmate made last nite wasn't as bad. Lolly, Dain and I got to know each other, and it was kind of a good introduction of each other. Dain comes from Mauritius, he's 22 adn very tanned too. At first Lolly and I thought he might be from one of these countries - you know - Msia, Singapore, Indon, China or Taiwan. That's when he told us that his great grandparents were from China. He's doing Design - something Multimedia. French is his native language with English and Creole. That's pretty interesting huh, a good source for research. He looks ok to us, I mean we can get along better as compared to that hooligan cow in front of Janet's room :P And he is a lot more polite too. That was a relief. There should another newcomer to a our flat who has yet to arrive. And Janet is coming back next week.
Ok la - today's post is about Teapot and Dain. Will tell you more later. Have a nice day.

Raksaksa Part 2

Hahahahahahahaha ... raksaksa dengan bebola api dah datang balik! Whaaaattttt???? (*tips utk intonasi = nyaring & it goes up ok :P) Hahahahahahaha, tak yah nak puja raksaksa tu datang balik, dia mmg on standby untuk muncul semula. Tu la, baru semalam aku cite pasal Raksaksa yang nak bako rambut satu makcik nih, hari nih makcik tu dah 'issue' more like an order (sounds like that) instead of a suggestion (sebab tu semua idea dia, bukan aku yeeee). Pasal apa? Aku pun pelik, kalo bercakap tum tam tum tam kata bagus, bila benda yang ala2 formal sikit, tum tam tum tam teruih senyap. Lalalalalalalalalalalala sukanya hati ku ... Makan biskut lagi bagus kan kan kan :)
Psssst ... tak sempat carik pic raksaksa Gorgon, tapi ternampak pic ni, cute la plak ;)

Raksaksa Dengan Bebola Api

Have you ever felt like you just want to lash out on someone but you really tried hard not to? Ala mcm ibarat ko tu raksaksa and ko ada satu bebola api yang beso. Pas tu ada la satu makhluk yang ko marah tul ngan dia dan ko terasa nakkkkk je baling bebola api tu kat dia, bior terbako semua rambut dia, bior botak, baru padan muka dia hahahahahaha ... Entahlah, I have been feeling like that for the past couple of days. Bukan pada semua orang, tapi ada la pada sorang makcik nih. I really hated it when people sort of ridiculed you as if you are a kid, who knows nothing at all. Come on la, you can stick to your guns just because you think that your choice is better and that mine is no good at all. Does the word tolerance mean anything to you? Afterall you are also not young and gullible anymore! The truth is aku dah mula rasa bosan with whatever way yang she thinks is right. FYI aku ni bukannya jenis yang suka last minute, unattended and messy kind of work. Semua pon pakai tibai aje, and the best thing is that kalau part nak gi deal ngan Ozs kat sini, ko bergantung kat aku walaupun ko yang sepatutnya buat. Sekali dua tu, aku bleh paham lagi, tapi kalau dah slalu sangat, mintak maaf la makcik, you deal with your own shit.
And I think the course of my training have also made me rather attentive to one's language use. Minus the linguistic ability la, but pls at least ensure that your tone when you speak to people is one that is not offensive. Aku cukup pantang betul kalau cakap guna tone yg salah. Eh makcik, tak yah la nak show that you know all sebab the reality is that you memang the other way round. I can easily point it out to you but I didn't. Rasa penat la nak buat macam tu, so I kept quiet. Terasa marah jugak, tapi biar la. Some things are better left unsaid. Malas nak layan, assume aje la markah IELTS dia below the grade - Band 1 ke, 2 ke - walaupun dia rasa dia tu terror lagi. Or maybe aku ni je yang being overly sceptical at the situation. Maybe it is due to the flu that I'm having kut, yup - been down with flu for the past week. And with the hot summer nights here (hot to my standard that is), you just feel like stripping naked and jump into the bed with the fan at the fullest blast every nite! Trust me, having flu during this hot dry summer isn't good at all, especially when you know that you are prone to chill from the fan and the state of being n**** la kan. Enuff to say la, I need to dope myself to sleep sebab memang tak leh tidor - idong sumbat. Vicks pon dah surrender.
Oh ya, Babeh is back again with me. Am happy to get it back though it is kinda new Babeh. Dalam flu2 tu pon, aku gi amik dia. The hard disk was replaced as it was corrupted. Nasib baik la tak kena bayar apa-apa. I need to see Lori tomorrow as he will download some of the programs kat dalam Babeh. Besok Chris balik, aiseh gabrak aku rasa. Al maklumla kena mengadap about the final draft. Nervous siut.
Say, I have been thinking, aku nakcari satu TV kecik la ... ntah jadi ntah idak, tgk $$$$ dulu. Raksaksa nak sambung keje. Bola api dah padam :P
